The nation’s second-largest city, Los Angeles was in a great risk of making the air unhealthy to breathe yesterday. The Tuna Fire, the largest fire in the history of L.A. city, in terms of its acreage, after destroyed three houses on Saturday forced the authorities to evacuate 700 homes in the neighborhoods of North Los Angeles, Burbank and Glendale. Since Friday the fire among thick bushes sharply slipped down the hillside towards the houses, forcing more than 500 firefighters battling it under the temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit and over. To battle the blaze in order to protect residents and property the state and federal provided to the City all the available resources. Cars were passing by flames a few dozen feet away with smoke hovering over the 210 Freeway enforcing the officials to close a stretch of the freeway. The Fire has burned 5,000 acres (2,000 hectares), and destroyed 32 homes in Butte County. Jane Fonda and Robert Redford, one of the hottest couples of the widescreen, are back. Their noble presence turned up the heat yesterday at Venice film festival as they showed up for the premier of their last collaboration “ Our Souls at Night ”. Forty-seven years after their great success of the movie “ Barefoot in the Park ”, Fonda and Redford reunite in a Netflix production directed by Indian filmmaker Ritesh Batra. This time their goal is to satisfy the movie’s older audience "because today’s film industry is increasingly geared towards younger viewers." Redford, as the movie’s producer, told in Venice yesterday. The adaptation of a Kent Haruf novel “ Our Souls at Night ” movie is about hope. “When you get older you have to give up certain things” said Redford declaring that he found hard to deal with this fact. The 80 years old Hollywood star Jane Fonda told journalists in Venice, "I wished the sex scene in our last movie with Robert Redford had lasted longer. I live for sex scenes with him. He’s a great kisser so it was fun to kiss him in my 20s and to kiss him again in my almost 80s.” “On a love and sexual level getting older was a good thing.” Fonda said and continues, “It gets better because we’re braver, what the heck do we have to lose? So my skin sags, so does his. You know your body better so you’re not afraid to ask for what you need”. According to the National Weather Service, 36.5 million residents, or 98% of Californians, were under a heat advisory Friday as a high-pressure system roasted the state from Oregon to the U.S.-Mexico border. On Friday afternoon, an extremely fast-moving brush fire broke out in the Verdugo Mountains near Sun Valley. Fueled by light grasses, extremely high temperatures and a light breeze, the flames jumped the 210 Freeway and threatened homes, triggering evacuations. “When we’re approaching all-time record highs, that’s very unusual,” said Steve Anderson, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. The temperature reached 108 degrees in San Jose, breaking the city’s record for Sept. 1 of 101 degrees, set in 1950. In almost 150 years of record keeping, it has never been as hot in San Francisco as it was on Friday. Amid a brutal heat wave that has broiled California for a week while intermittently knocking out power to thousands and fueling more than a dozen wildfires, downtown San Francisco hit 106 degrees. Woodland Hills reached 111 degrees Friday, tying its daily heat record set in 2007. It was 102 degrees in downtown L.A., but that failed to eclipse the record, set in 1950, of 110 degrees. In Riverside, the mercury peaked at 112 degrees, breaking the city’s record of 111 degrees, set in 2007. Ramona was not far behind at 109 degrees, breaking its record, set in 2002, of 107. Similar temperatures were reported across the San Joaquin and Sacramento valleys. The heat wave marks the finale for what has ended up being the state’s hottest summer on record, UCLA climate scientist Daniel Swain said. While America is still suffering the consequences of the deadly rainfall from Hurricane Harvey in Texas, a century old building collapsed in Mumbai of India. A municipal authority official confirmed the death of nine people, while rescuers estimated more than 16 had been injured and taken to hospital. Still now 20 people are trapped under the debris of a six-storey building and narrow streets of the neighborhood made it difficult the arriving of the excavators. Just for the record, this is a second collapsed building in Mumbai in a less than a month. In July, 17 people were killed when a four-storey building collapsed after undergoing unauthorized renovations. From the floods of heavy monsoon rains in India last week were killed 14 people. While in eastern Texas and western Louisiana the heavy rainfall, the Hurricane Harvey have killed at least 33 people. Also has hit the US energy supplies, as oil companies shut down refineries in Houston area. Moreover, the Arkema plant at Crosby lost the ability to refrigerate chemical compounds that need to be kept cool. Insecticide fipronil disrupts the central nervous system of insects. But these days is considered moderately toxic in Human's body - in very large quantities can cause organ damage in Humans. Lately around the EU countries, especially in Austria, Britain, France, Sweden and Switzerland market, have been found eggs contaminated with the insecticide Fipronil. Whilst the World Health Organization warns that the risk to public health is moderately toxic, the EU’s food safety alert has switched on. Belgian and Dutch authorities are investigating how the insecticide came into illegal contact with egg-laying chickens. Over the scare of the contamination millions of eggs have now pulled out from the supermarkets across EU countries.

The last time most Americans experienced a total solar eclipse was 1991. This year on August 21, more than 500 million people will be able to observe the total solar eclipse, in partial or total form: 391 million in the U.S., 35 million in Canada, and 119 million in Mexico (plus Central America and parts of South America and northwestern Europe). Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet have reunited 20 years later this time not to play on the leading role of a new Titanic movie but to serve the world. Wednesday night in St. Tropez the Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio held his fourth annual fund-raiser for his environmental charity. Lots of the world celebrities were there to support Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation which is dedicated to climate-change prevention and wildlife. Will Smith, Jessica Chastain, Tobey Maguire, Paris Hilton, Cate Blanchett, Emma Stone, Marion Cotillard, Tom Hanks, Jared Leto, Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson and Leo’s best friends Kate Winslet were there. Madonna and Lenny Kravitz performed some of their greatest hits, while Sean Penn, and Adrien Brody took the stage to auction a Porsche. A dinner Gala with collection of stars, each one brought something to sell, helped the amount of money for the Foundation to arise in more than $30 million. Tracey Emin, and DiCaprio agreed that it would be even better, though, to live on a healthier planet that doesn’t need a glamorous fund-raiser to come to its rescue. Linkin Park lead singer Chester Bennington has died aged 41, LA County Coroner says. The coroner said Bennington apparently hanged himself. His body was found at a private home in the county at 09:00 local time (17:00 GMT) on Thursday. He leaves a wife, and six children from two marriages. The singer is said to have struggled for years with alcohol and drug abuse, and has talked in the past about contemplating suicide as a result of being a victim of abuse as a child. Bennington was said to be close to Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell, who took his own life in May. Formed in 1996, Linkin Park have sold more than 70 million albums worldwide and won two Grammy Awards. The band had a string of hits including Faint, In The End and Crawling, and collaborated with the rapper Jay-Z. Linkin Park's successful trick was to fuse elements of metal and rock with rap and hip-hop to shape the nu-metal genre on songs such as Crawling, In The End and Numb. Arguably their biggest asset was Chester's powerhouse voice. He had a huge, raspy vocal which suited their stadium-filling, singalong anthems.
