From today Americans will pay 20 cents more for gasoline than they paid before the storm struck the nation’s oil hub in the U.S. Gulf.
After being knocked out by Hurricane Harvey several oil refineries in Texas began to recover their operations. However on Sunday the average retail U.S. gasoline prices raised up to $2.621 a gallon, almost 1% up.
While the national average was 10.9 percent higher on the week, states such as Georgia and South Carolina notched even larger increases of roughly 18 percent and 19 percent respectively.
