Hugh Hefner, the Playboy magazine founder, dies aged 91 at his Playboy mansion in Los Angeles.

 

The bon viveur Hefner, passed away peacefully from natural causes, leaving his 30-years-old wife, Crystal Harris, without inheriting anything of his multi-million dollar fortune.

 

Hefner's Publishing Empire started in 1953 in Chicago with $1,000 loan from his mother in order to establish a men lifestyle magazine.

 

First edition of Playboy magazine was published on December 1953 with Marilyn Monroe picture in its cover, but within its pages contained a nude picture of the world sex symbols Marilyn.

 

The world's best-known brand for the nude and semi-nude models (Playmates) played an important role in world sexual revolution.

 

Hefner, himself, who was always surrounded by luxury and beautiful women (his Bunnies, as he used to call the Playmates) has said, “The major civilizing force in the world is not religion, it is sex.”

 

Mildred Williams, Hefner’s first wife allowed him to have sex with other women hoping to preserve their marriage. But their marital life ended 10 years later, in 1959. The couple was blessed with two children: Christie (born 1952), who is running the Playboy Empire since 1988, and David (born 1955).

 

After recovered by the stroke, that left him temporarily partially paralyzed, the Playboy’s founder got married with the Playmate of the Year. Kimberley Conrad. His second wife, a thirty-six years younger, granted Hefner with two sons: Marston Glenn (born 1990) and Cooper Bradford (born 1991).
