Madame Tussauds blames terrorist attacks and weather for its low profits.


Madame Tussauds owner, the museum with the most famous waxworks faces in the world, blames terrorists’ for its low profits in the summer season.

Series of attacks in UK and the unfavourable weather are the reasons of profits reduction during summer period for Merlin Entertainments, the owner of Madame Tussauds waxworks museum in London also the operator of tourist attractions in Britain Kingdom.

“It saw a dip in trading in its key summer period” said MERLIN.

For the 10 months to Oct. 7 Merlin’s total revenue rose 12.4 percent at actual exchange rates and 5.9 percent at constant rates.

However, the Merlin Company consider these numbers as flat revenue on a like-for-like basis, mainly reflecting in the difficult summer trading at its Midway London attractions and European theme parks.

Merlin declared that it would reallocate capital investment to face the unstable environment condition and the underlying cost pressures.
