America celebrated last night the power of the music right there were six months ago a gunman started shooting the crowd from the window of a hotel. Jason Aldean was performing on stage at the Harvest country festival last October when the mass shooting killed 58 people and wounded more than 850.
The 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards Show opened up last night in Las Vegas, Nevada by paying tribute to the victims of last October 1st invoking the healing power of music.
"With respect and love for the victims, our friends, family and fans, we celebrate the music tonight," said the grand winner of last night ACM Awards Show, Aldean, and added, “We wanted to open the show with something that sums up what it’s like for our country music family to be back in Las Vegas for the first time since October 1.”
The Winner of Entertainer of the Year award said that the last year tragedy was a lot bigger than a single song, “It’s everything you’ll hear tonight,” he concluded.
Personally, I enjoyed the ACM awards show and the amazing performances of every single artist on stage last night who entertained us with their talents and heartbeats melodies. Finally, what a rejoices to watch a show full of music and without all the winners' meaningless 'thanks' that turns a night of celebration in a boring one.
Keith Urban was there singing along with his guitar ‘Coming Home’, but he wasn’t alone. Just before the end of his breathtaking performance, he welcomed upon the stage the co-written of his latest album Julia Michaels. They ended up hugging each other affectionately.
The blue eyes, Brett Young, for the second year in the row made the crowd sing his last year heartbeat romantic song, ‘In case you didn’t know’. (I wonder why cuz he has better songs this year.) However Young grabbed the first ACM Award of the night for New Male Vocalist of the Year announced right from the host's mouth Reba McEntire.
‘If it's meant to be, it'll be, it'll be Baby, just let it be. So, won't you ride with me, ride with me? See where this thing goes,’ performed on stage Bebe Rexha, Florida Georgia Line, and a whole lot of backing singers who brought the hit to life in Vegas.
Carrie Underwood stood up the audience members last night with her breathless performance of "Cry Pretty." Apparently, Carrie looked stunningly beautiful and strong just six months after her injuring that required 40-50 stitches to her face. Actually, her injuring wasn't noticeable at all.
“I’m still kinda shaky right now,” Underwood said afterwards, fighting back tears.
The Award Winner of Male Vocalist of the year was the brand new dad Chris Stapleton. The Show host Reba McEntire accepted the award on his behalf, giving the news of his twin boys’ arrival in this pretty world.
Except for the beauty, excitement, and newborn twins, the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada spread up the gratitude of a broken heart.
Miranda Lambert, the 9th time in a row Winner of Female Vocalist of the year, accepted the award saying to her ex-husband, Blake Shelton, “Thanks for sharing my broken heart with me.”
