Sting: Once Again Greece Shown How to Be Civilized

“Our so-called leaders, a sad parade of half-men, cowards, have not got the solutions on immigration... Once again Greece has shown us how to be civilized.” British singer Sting said on Saturday in an event organized by Amnesty International in Athens, Greece.

On the occasion of the World Tour this weekend Sting, stopped in Greece to give two live concerts at the Acropolis. As he reached the Athens airport, he began to sharply criticize the Western countries politicians about the world's biggest issue at this time, the immigration.

“Thank God for Greece because you have shown the way. You have shown how to treat refugees when other people are building walls. When children are being taken from their mothers and put in cages, you are acting with compassion and generosity and commonsense,” Sting said referring to the migration policies in the U.S. calling the family separation policy ‘brutal’ and ‘barbaric’.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday abandoned a policy of separating migrant children from their parents on the U.S.-Mexico border, after images of youngsters in cages sparked outrage at home and abroad.

European Union leaders since 2015 cannot find a common solution to face the daily immigrants' flow on the Italy and Greece shore. Although Greece is dealing with its own major financial crisis in 2015 have support nearly a million refugees.

Austrian Vice Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache Today said, he expects a chain reaction across the European Union if Germany closes its borders to refugees.
